Registering on the site

The webside uses Joomla! 1.5 as a content management system (CMS) as a front-end, linked with phpBB 3 as a forum. Logins are handled though the CMS - This is important: do not register on the forum, use the front-end registration! You find this at the top of the left side column on the main page.
When registering there are a few things you should be aware of:
- You will be asked about a name and a username. The username will be used as a site login, forum username, and to sign content submitted through the frontend. This should normally be your ingame name.
- Do not use uppercase letters in your e-mail address, as that will cause problems with the forum bridge.
- When you have registered, you need to confirm the registration you received in your e-mail. Once you log in now, you have access to the forum automatically. A special note: Some e-mail providers (like Hotmail) have spam filters who doesn't like automatically generated e-mails, like the confirmation mail. If you don't receive a confirmation, check the spam filtered mails.
To get access to the forum, your e-mail confirmation has to be completed. To access the members section of the forum, your account will have to be manually upgraded by an admin after you have registered. Depending on circumstance this can take from a few hours to a day or two - poke Werten ingame if it takes too long.
