Tranquility History

The Beginning 

Tranquility was founded may 24th 2007 by our first leader "Valish" and by a handfull of hardy adventures. We started out as a casual kinship just leveling our characters and having fun in each others company. As our first members started to hit level 50 we realised soon enough that we had to go further in order to offer our members a wider selection of activities and thus we began our journey towards raiding.

Early Days

In order to begin raiding we had to recruit more people so several of us would stay in Bree, advertising and post recruitment letters on the official forum. Slowly we began to grow in numbersbut we were still low on several key classes. As an alternative we tried to arrange a raid alliance consisting of The Elders, The Last Warders, The 666 Shadowlords and Tranquility. We had a few raids to Helegrod but due to internal struggles and issues within the alliance it was quickly disbanded again. Back to basics again but with a still growing member count we decided to focus on ourselves as a kinship.

Raiding Begins

In the beginning of 2008 we started to get a solid number of level 50ies and a mix of all the right classes and in the last weekend on January we had our first Rift raid where we killed Barz on the first attempt. This would be the first of a regular visit to The Rift. Also in this period Slackernina would become our new leader after Valish, who due to personal issues had to step back and take a long break from the game. All the while we were busy progressing in The Rift, getting one kinship first after another, in late March we finally faced Thaurlach for the first time. We also started our second alliance which goes under the name TET, The Twilight Gathering, The Elders and Tranquility with the focus on keeping each kin's individual identity. Bounders of the West Fathing later joined the alliance.

Thaurlachs End

Over half a year have passed since our first visit to The Rift and after months of wiping and fine tuning our fight with the Balrog we finally managed to kill him on August 2nd 2008, marking a glorious era in Tranquility history.

Tranquility Today

After the first kill of Thaurlach we raided The Rift regularly, and several of our members were entering Moria in a full Rift armour set. After Moria was released, and the level cap raised, we haven't been much to the Rift but instead focused on Moria content. The various 6-man instances in Moria see regular visits from Tranquility, preparing for the Watcher raid. As of May 9th we have also added Nornuan in Filikul to our list of kills - under 24 hours from the opening of the raid.

But - we are not just raiding. Over these two years Tranquility has evolved from being just a casual group of friends to a well tuned, smooth running family of people from all over Europe. We raid regularly with the sole focus of progressing and having fun in each others company. While we like to get together for the end game content, we also like to test other classes and level up alts. This way we also have characters ready to assist our lower level members on their journey through Middle Earth.
