Welcome

Welcome to Tranquility! We are a casual guild for mature gamers operating in the games Lord of the Rings Online (LotRO) and Star Wars: The Old Republic (SW:TOR).

As a casual guild, we appreciate that we all have other obligations and there are no requirements to attendance or signups. We do however like to group up to take on harder content some times, like hard mode flashpoints/instances and ops/raids.

Galactic News Bulletin Week 16

This is the first of our weekly SW:TOR Guild bulletins.

We've decided to make this to give you a summary of all the things happening in and around our guild in SW:TOR. We have been doing a lot of work to move the guild forward by bringing in a bit a structure and more importantly : NEW MEMBERS.
We would like to welcome everyone and hope you will enjoy your stay with us.

Here we go:

General
1. We've expanded the SW:TOR part of our site so it has more forums.
2. This bulletin will be made every Friday or Saturday.
3. We've stopped the count and registration for crafting tokens dropping in HM's.

Hardmode/OPS/Planning

6. The raid start and end times (for now) will be 20:30h-23:00h (Central European Time) (NB! To get the times right in the calendar, make sure you have set your time zone properly for your forum account [User control panel -> Board preferences] and that DST is enabled).
7. The planned Hardmode Flashpoint day is Tuesday. (Feel free to plan your own on other days)
8. We've planned the HM's and OPS a few weeks ahead. Please sign up. We'll go on a first come, first served basis for now.
9. We've asked Faris to become our backup OPS leader if and when havard isn't available.
10. Make sure you know the lootrules before entering HM's and OPS with us:
More here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=818

Empire Intentions
1. We want to make ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that our Republic guild is and will be the main focus for endgame.
2. We decided that our Empire branch guild will be on Hidden Beks
3. Ask Havard or Nick for an invite to the Empire guild.
4. The Empire guild is called Sarlacc Preservation Society
5. We've decided to switch things around: Nick will be GM and Havard Officer in the Empire guild.
6. We have a bankslot on both Republic and Empire side. Havard paid for them so any donations to get his money back will be appreciated.

Enjoy,

Havard/Nico(Nick)

Eternity Vault: Cleared

Following on Tuesday's success in the first part of the Eternity Vault operation, we went in again tonight looking for to clear the place. The first few fights were pretty easy, while the final boss - Soa - caused us some headache. After some attempts we did, however, manage to get him too. Nice job everyone, the group for both runs were (from left below): Catroop, Evanagh, Jaffas, Wert'en, Catnap, Puzzle, Gyros and Faris

Tranquility takes on Eternity Vault

Tonight, we had our first venture into an Operation: The 8-man Eternity Vault.

Image

It was the first visit to an operation for all of us, so we did not know much what to expect. That in mind, I'd say we did great, and cleared the first two bosses - Annihilation Droid XRR-3 and Gharj - after a few attempts.

The trials continue on Saturday :)

SW:TOR branch forums skin

As many may know, we have branches in both LotRO and SW:TOR. The SW:TOR forums are added here with a separate set of permissions - and a SW:TOR "look". If you prefer to use the SW:TOR look on the common forums too, you can do this by going to your user control panel -> Board settings -> Edit Global Settings and pick your choice under 'My board style:' (Afterburner is the LotRO style).

Forum back up!

The forum is back up, restored from the last backup I made before closing the old hosting account. Usernames/passwords should work as they used to.

At this point the frontpage and the scheduler are not up yet, but I'm working on that.

If there are any problems with the forums specifically, please let me know.
